Anechoic Chambers

Anechoic Chambers

Anechoic Environment

Product Description

Absorber treatment of the walls of a shielded chamber ensures a quiet RF environment for different types of test applications. The chosen absorber treatment is a careful trade-off in terms of cost and performance. Where for a serrated edge Compact Antenna Test Range the reflections on the chamber walls are expected to be minimal due to the collimating effects of the reflector, they play a vital part in the overall quietness of the test zone for Blended Rolled Edge Reflectors, near-field, and direct far-field setups.

Antenna System solutions have highly skilled engineers capable of designing the correct fitting anechoic environment as part of the overall measurement system design. For the absorber lining, we work with the partners providing the best suiting and cost-effective solutions.

Especially for, but not limited to, near-field and direct far-field measurement the final reflectivity of the chamber walls plays an important factor in the accuracy of the final measurement result. Therefore, as part of the installation of the measurement system the reflectivity of the chamber can be assessed.
